On the evening of August 26, 2022, the first meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the International Society of Mechanical System Dynamics (ISMSD) was held offline and online at the Nanjing Shangri-La Hotel in Nanjing, where nearly 50 experts from 11 countries, including 11 academicians from various countries, 10 presidents of international societies and 9 editors-in-chief of international journals, had a full exchange and discussion on the preparation of the International Society of ISMSD.

The meeting was chaired by Academician Chuanzeng Zhang, who first introduced the guests and the agenda of the meeting, and extended a warm welcome to the participating experts! Academician Rui Xiaoting, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, delivered a speech and extended a warm welcome to the attending guests. He pointed out that the Preparatory Committee of ISMSD consists of more than 100 renowned scientists from more than 20 countries in five continents, including Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Oceania, and expressed his appreciation for the hard work of the Preparatory Committee, believing that ISMSD will serve the development of the world mechanical system dynamics well and significantly improve the comprehensive performance of science and technology industry and equipment.

After that, Prof. Rui Xue, a member of ISMSD Preparatory Committee, gave a wonderful report on the work of the Preparatory Committee, elaborating on the initial intention, preparatory program, preparatory basis and future planning of ISMSD. Forty-four experts, including 11 academicians, 10 presidents of international societies and 9 editors-in-chief of international journals, witnessed the historic moment when the ISMSD Preparatory Committee, composed of 43 academicians and more than 100 renowned scientists from more than 20 countries in five continents, including Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Oceania, was officially released to the world. In the discussion session, the participating members launched a lively discussion.

Finally, Academician Chuanzeng Zhang concluded his speech. He once again thanked all the members for their important contributions to the preparatory work of ISMSD International Society and looked forward to the establishment of ISMSD International Society as soon as possible, which will play an irreplaceable role in promoting international exchange and cooperation in the field of mechanical system dynamics!
