Prof. Xiaoting Rui, the Chair of ICMSD, on behalf of the Standing Steering Committee of ICMSD, announced the decision to select Babeş‐Bolyai University as the Third ICMSD host and Prof. Gilbert‐ Rainer Gillich, Member of the Academy of Technical Sciences in Romania, as the local chair of the conference to be held in September 2025. A video introducing the next conference was shown. Prof. Gilbert‐Rainer Gillich discussed the preparations for the Third conference (Figure 6).

Prof. Xiaoting Rui, the ICMSD Chair, delivered the closing ICMSD speech (Figure 7). He first expressed his appreciation to the conference attendees for their active participation, to the Organizing Chair and the organizers for their excellent work, and to the volunteers for their dedication and hard work. He then reviewed and summarized the achievements of the series of international activities of the ISMSD, ICMSD, and IJMSD, and pointed out that the First and Second ICMSDs had demonstrated three distinct characteristics.

(1) They have garnered the attention of and widespread interest in mechanical system dynamics from the international academic community. In fact, each session has attracted over 1000 participants.

(2) They have attracted the interest of internationally recognized scientists. In the First and Second ICMSDs, there were more than 60 leading scientists, including members of the National Academy of Sciences/Engineering, Presidents of international societies, and Editors‐in‐Chief of international journals.

(3) Young scientists represented a significant percentage of the attendees. This demonstrates the vibrant, rapid development and promising future of the field of mechanical system dynamics.

Prof. Rui, on behalf of the three organizations, the ISMSD, ICMSD, and IJMSD, announced the four major decisions made by the aforementioned meetings:

(1) After recommendation and voting by 67 members from nearly 30 countries across six continents of the ISMSD Preparatory Committee, the First Executive Board and the Standing Executive Board of the ISMSD were launched and their President, Vice‐Presidents, Secretary‐ General, and Deputy Secretaries‐General of the ISMSD were announced.

(2) The organization structure of IJMSD, ICMSD, and the ISMSD will further enhance the development of the journal and conference.

(3) Eighteen scientists from 12 countries were appointed to the editorial board of IJMSD. Currently, the new editorial board includes 69 scientists, including 21 members of the National Academies of Sciences/Engineering, 17 Presidents of inter[1]national societies, and 20 Editors‐in‐Chief of international journals.

(4) The Third ICMSD will be hosted by the over 400 40‐year‐old Babeș‐Bolyai University in Romania, with Prof. Gilbert‐Rainer Gillich, Member of the Academy of Technical Sciences in Romania, serving as the local chair.

Prof. Xiaoting Rui noted in his closing remarks that the ISMSD was officially launched and will become a first‐class international platform for scientific and technological innovation and resource sharing, as well as an academia home for a number of scientists and practicing engineers. Finally, Prof. Rui announced the successful closing of the Second ICMSD and wished to see the participants and scientists at the Third ICMSD in Romania in 2025. The closing ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the Second ICMSD (Figure 8). This event will become an important milestone in the development of mechanical system dynamics, helping to enhance the scientific and technological development of the field of mechanical system dynamics and to increase scientific research, technological, and industrial capabilities.
