On the evening of August 26, 2022, the second committee meeting of the International Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics (IJMSD) was convened simultaneously in the Lingzhou Hall of Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing, with 8 academicians and 9 international academicians from 11 countries Nearly 50 experts, including the chairman of the academic society and 8 chief editors of different international journals, edited the theme of "Attracting high-quality manuscript sources and large-scale international influence", focusing on the characteristics of the journal, the source of international manuscripts, the quality of review manuscripts and the timeliness of publication, and the journal's international film and television influence In-depth exchanges and discussions were carried out on issues such as strength improvement.

The meeting was chaired by Academician Chuanzeng Zhang, who first introduced the guests and the agenda of the meeting, and extended a warm welcome and thanks to the participating editorial board members and experts!

The editor-in-chief, Academician Rui Xiaoting, gave a speech and extended a warm welcome to the participants. He emphasized that the science and technology of mechanical system dynamics improves modern industrial R&D capabilities and the performance of mechanical systems throughout their life cycle through accurate modeling, rapid calculation, optimal design, and simulation tests of various mechanical system dynamics to study the laws of object motion and interaction in their design, manufacturing, testing, evaluation, and use, involving force, electricity, light, magnetism, heat, sound, flow, and air fields; its Its significant role makes it one of the cornerstones of modern science and technology industries such as machinery, weapons, aviation, aerospace, shipping, transportation, etc., and is widely valued by countries around the world. To meet the needs of the rapid development of global mechanical system dynamics and to provide a wide international academic exchange platform for scientists and engineering experts worldwide, IJMSD was initiated by 35 famous scientists from more than 10 countries/regions, including 15 academicians, 14 presidents of international societies, 14 editors-in-chief of international journals, etc. In order to provide young talents with opportunities and platforms for in-depth cooperation and communication with international top scientists, IJMSD invited young scientists to join the editorial board, which helps both the development of the journal and the cultivation of young academic talents.

The list of young editorial board members was then announced at the meeting. Academician Rui expressed his warm welcome to the young editorial board members. Associate Professor Xuping Zhang, Executive Editor-in-Chief, introduced the progress of IJMSD journal. Currently IJMSD is indexed by DOAJ, Dimensions, Google Scholar, etc. Since its inception in July 2021, IJMSD has successfully published 4 issues with a total of 37 articles, 11 of which are contributed by members of national academies of science/engineering, presidents of international societies, editors-in-chief of international journals and their teams. The authors of the papers are from the UK, USA, Germany, Italy, France, Japan and other countries. The results of the selection of excellent papers and excellent reviewers were also announced at the meeting. In the discussion session, experts discussed the expansion of the scope of the journal's call for papers, quality and timeliness control of reviewers, promotion of international conferences, and journal search and inclusion. The co-editor-in-chief, academician Yonggang Huang, spoke twice and suggested respectively that IJMSD should pay attention to attracting a wide range of international manuscript sources and clarify its unique advantages so as to attract quality authors.

Finally, Academician Chuanzeng Zhang concluded his remarks. He once again thanked all authors, reviewers, editorial board members, Wiley Press and the journal editorial board for their important contributions to IJMSD and looked forward to meeting again for the third editorial board meeting!
